Thank you for contacting Senator Susan Collin's Office regarding your concerns about your application for Social Security disability benefits. I appreciate your giving Senator Collin's staff the opportunity to assist you.

On your behalf, I spoke with a representative at the Disability Determination Services (DDS) in Augusta and learned the DDS has recently received medical evidence that is being reviewed by two DDS physicians. According to the representativee, you will receive a written desision on approximately two weeks.
