Alison, nice to meet you. I think you are right about people looking at us with compassion. I'm 46 and I have to use a cane or like Tess, a shopping cart, that is when I ever get out. I feel like I'm too young, but I would rather use a cane than fall down.
I know when I see someone in a wheel chair, I always make sure that I make eye contact and say hi to them. Someone who is worse off than me. I have a lot of compassion for them, and not sympathy. I just know that a lot of people turn thier heads and don't want to deal with wheel chairs.
Sure hope everyone is good today. I kind of feel like crap.
