Ok, first thing, the car wouldn't start. Mike always likes to run it on empty. So we had to pour the weedeater gas in it to get to town. I'm thinking, this is going to be a bad day. We had to stop by the bank, Mike's student loan had been taken out early and we were overdrawn. Great!!! Got that taken care of also.
Made it to Cedar Rapids, 2 hours early. Ate at KFC, me and greasy chicken don't get along. But was filling anyway. We walked around downtown for a little bit. Till my leg went out, then went to the federal building.
It only took about 10 minutes and we were out of there. Before we talked to the judge or what ever they call him, the guy from Sears was there and made us an offer.
We had bought a refrigerator about 5yrs. ago from them for $700. If we agreed to pay $599. for the refrig, they would extend our credit to $1,000 and our payments would only be $14.00 a month. Needless to say we declined. DUHHHH, that is why we were there, we didn't need any more credit cards.
We were asked only about 6 questions and now we have to wait for 60 days and it will be done. That is if no other creditors come forward to take this to court. Which our lawyer doesn't think anyone will.
All nerved up and it was simple. All the hard work was done. It just feels like such a weight was lifted. I really think the hardest part today was the drive. My back is killing me.
Thank all of you for keeping me in your thoughts and prayers, I know they helped!!!! Couldn't do it without all of your support!!! Love All of You and Love God for helping us through this day!!!!!! Nancy
