Hey, just read your e-mail. Well here we go, people from Ulster (protestants) emigrated to America and became pioneers. They fought on the frontiers, people called them Irish. However they said they had nothing to do with the irish catholics. Then during the great famine the irish catholics went to america. So for the ulster people to distinguish themselfs from the irish catholics were called scot irish. Read "the people with no name" by griffin patrick. He is a from america.

ireland was made into two different countrys 1st is Ulster, 2nd is republic of ireland. The IRA (Irish Republican Army) wants the whole land theirs, so they started what they called a reveolution to fight for it. However Ulster formed their own paramilitary call the UFF Ulster Freedom Fighters, to what they say is they are protecting their land.

Any way read that book by "patrick Griffion"
