Jarek watched in anguish as the last hatchling moved towards his twin. Marek—or rather M'rek, as he would be called now—stumbled towards Zeth, a foolish grin spread across his face. 'Zeth?' {{I am yours and you are mine, M'rek. Now and always.}} At this M'rek collapsed over his bronze's neck, weeping with the joy of Impression.

Jarek stood nonplussed and disconsolate on the Sands, somehow unwilling to leave, though it was obvious he had better get out of here before M'rek had to pass him. He didn't want to see the look on his twin's face, nor M'rek to see the expression on his, for he was sure it was greenly envious. Just then, he heard a voice in his mind: {{I am Arth. You Impress me, J'rek.}} Incredulous, he pivoted on his heels to face the bronze. He fell upon Arth, arms encircling the bronze and nearly squeezing him to death. {{J'rek! Do not kill me!}} J'rek, alarmed, pulled back with a look of concern. ~~Arth?~~ he asked tentatively. {{I am fine, except that I am hungry. Look! There goes another pair! Let us follow them, J'rek.}}

J'rek saw that M'rek and Zeth were moving off, headed for the Bowl, and he nodded to his bronze. ~~Yes, let's get you some food...~~ J'rek walked alongside his bronze hatchling, still amazed by what had happened.
