J'xom however was lost in a pool of endless memories, some blurred images, so as clear as crystal, and others nothing but sounds. He heard a soft voice call out to him, his mother? " J'xom..." Wait... his mother didn't know he impressed....She died...He felt, a soft blanket fall over his body, like a soft forbidding truth, another layer covering a past of betrayal, broken trust and friendships forgotten...Friendship? He chuckled mentally in his dreams, he had forgotten what that word had meant...
He opened one eye, pushing aside the quilt and sat upright, Did I miss anything, Xanth? Xanth shook his head inoccently, Nothing at all. J'xom nodded, I don't remember this quilt... Xanth butted in, You looked cold. J'xom frowned, Xanth, I know your mind as you know mine, your lieing.... Xanth gave a mental shrug, You need a friend. J'xom nodded, speaking aloud for a change, " Didn't you already say that, Xanth?"
