She rushes over and picks him up. Too long in the egg, she thinks saddly. "C'mere you. Eat this, it will pick you right up." She says as she brings out a bowl tightly covered in herdbeast skin. She opens it revealing a brown mushy substance. "Here ya go." She says as she uses a spoon to pick up a little glop. Once the dragon has eaten the whole bowl of the mash, she smiles in delight as his scales turn blue-er than they were before.

"Much better. Let's go to the cliffs now." She stares at the dragon in her arms. He was so small. Will he ever be able to carry me high like grandma's golden did?

I will get better, you will see. A small voice whispers.

"I know, you worry me though. Let's go."
