Torrep nearly jumps when the small egg splits in two, and the sickly brown dragonet calls his name. Taking off the last few shells from Erasth's sticky hatchling body, he picks up the little dragon just as he starts to feel the awful hunger and pain himself. Just able to retain control of his senses, he dashes off to the Bowl to get the poor thing some nourishment.
