Subject: yarn substitutions

Good morning! I would appreciate some help from anyone out there with a few minutes time to answer my plea. I found a pattern for a hat on the Lion yarn website that I want to use. The yarn suggested is Fancy Fur which is a 6 super bulky yarn and calls for size 13 needles. The gauge given is 10 st. + 12 rows per 4" swatch. However, I couldn't find a color I liked in Fancy Fur but I did fine one I liked in Festive Fur, which is a 5 bulky yarn and the gauge it gives is 16 st. + 20 rows per 4" swatch with size 10.5 needles. What size needles would you suggest I use with the Festive Fur in order to get the same gauge given for Fancy Fur in the pattern. I know smaller needles makes more stitches per inch and larger needles makes fewer stitches, but this sort of calculation just gives me a headache and makes my eyes cross!!
