Subject: problem knitting a shawl collar on baby cardigan.I am not understanding the way to "turn" on the pattern

I am knitting my first baby cardigan and using the circular needles I have picked up the stitches all the way round. I knitted two rows and now I cannot understand the instructions on how to "turn" to make the shawl collar. can someone please give me a website where I might see it being done or if someone can show me clearly then I would really appreciate it.
