胖男被迫買兩個座位憤提告法庭判法航敗訴

（法新社巴黎二十二日電）體重一百七十公斤的法國男子喬佛瑞特今天告訴「法新社」，他搭乘法國航空從印度新德里飛往法國巴黎時，該公司要求他購買第二個座位，他憤而向法庭提起告訴，結果獲得勝訴。

四十三歲的喬佛瑞特是劇作家。他表示，法航員工當著其他乘客的面，在新德里機場用膠帶量他的腰圍，讓他深感羞辱。

法庭十六日判法航支付一萬一千八百美元的損害賠償給喬佛瑞特，並歸還他購買第二個座位的費用。

喬佛瑞特二零零五年八月結束在印度的假期準備返回法國，航空公司告訴他因為班機客滿，無法確保他的鄰座有免費的空位，因而要求他購買額外的機票，以容納他龐大的身軀。

他說：「法庭裁定我遭受到屈辱。現在法航必須清楚的說明該公司的營業政策。法航載運的是客人還是算公斤的貨物？」
