During the trek, Ranskin kept silent, eyeing the trees around them warily, as if enemies lurked behind every trunk or bush. • As Q'heightllynne falls deeper into sleep, she begins to dream. First vague shapes appear, some large and others moving impossibly fast. Q sees herself on a vast white plane. Animals run around her, too far away to be seen properly. One looms up in front of her, a large beast as white as the surrounding area, with dark antlers. It charges at Q, getting larger as it approaches, with the sound of thunder at its hooves. It runs through Q and flows away. The dream shifts, twisting into an area of darkness. Q tries to move, and finds that she can only do so with difficulty. A pressure comes from above her, and she drops, feeling wind catch at her clothing and fear surround her. • Through the trees, Q'heightllynne catches a few glimpses of dark clouds forming. The wind picks up, tugging at her hair and jacket. A few twigs and leaves drift down past her face as she looks up to see one of her ankles neatly caught in a taut rope, the other end tied securely to a distant tree branch. The pack on her back ((assuming, of course, that a pack is what you are using to carry ten days’ supplies)) slips from her shoulders and hits the ground, contents spilling all over the place. • watching her stuff fall to the forrest floor, Q was a little dismayed. she had just dropped most of her belongings. Her arrows, which were fastened on the opposite side of her belt were now mostly gone. 2 remained. The rest spilt before the quiver righted its self. she had now only her bow, which was across her back when she was caught, her 2 arrows, her sword, her knife, and her cloths. She had not anticipated a trap as such this far from the caves. Or, perhaps, she was not as far as she thought.... what ever the case, she had to get off of the rope. three Ideas came to mind. Shoot the rope so that it let her fall down and perhaps hurt herself. Cut the rope so as to hold onto it and then when she was free of the rope drop down to the ground and gather her stuff. the last was to climb the rope, untie the knots and then repell down the tree. she decided on the second.
