A swiftly flowing river of violet hue flows through the village of the CoinShifters. Houses of many shapes and sizes are hidden in trees along its banks, so that creatures in any various stage of shifting may find a place to rest and enjoy shelter. And just between you and me, it is said that the violet color of this water is secretly due to a powerful healing spell. Perhaps dip a cut in and see?

a white gryphon walks slowly up to the river. She misrably trails the fluffy end of her tail into it. She keens softly, and a big tear wells up in her amber eye. She wonders if the river can heal hearts, to. She is so lonely. She often feels like she doesn't have ANY friends.

**I guess I'll wait here until someone comes up**

She walks up to the bank and sits, removing her boots, wincing and placing her bare, sore feet in the water. After soaking her feet for a few minutes she stands up and walks along the shore, picking up the roundest, prettiest pebbles. She picks them up, examines them, dries them on a small cloth she has and places them in her pouch. She fills her pouch and returns to the place where she left her boots. She pulls a mug out of her bag and fills it with the purple tinted water. She slips into her boots and walks away.

The dark coinshifter lands by the river, gasping and panting. She folds her giant wings against her back and falls to her knees by the river. She cups her hands and fills them with the purple tinted water and drinks greedily. She then dips her hands in again and throws the water onto her red and overheated face. She pulls a large clay jug out of her sack and fills it with the purple water and ties it to her belt. She pulls out a long, thick piece of soft cloth and soaks it in the river and puts it in a clay container. She then stands and takes a deep breath and launches herself up again, her wings beating up and down in slow powerful strokes.

A young human walks up playing with a knife in her hand. She walks through the trees inspecting them. She found a long, thick sturdy branch and neatly slices it off. She sits by the water and starts to carve the begginings of a staff. She sits there carving for a couple of hours, smoothing the staff out and cutting notches for her hands.
Finally she gets up, inspects her staff, and happily walks away with the staff in hand.

Slowly the trio approached the river. One is limping badly with two sprained legs and what could be a broken wing. Her head is hung down as she slowly makes her way to the river. The two others in the trio winged slowly behind her. As she nears the bank of the violet colored river she eases herself into the river. Immersing herself fully the pain eases form the two legs and the wing starts two straighten and mercilessly heal it's self. Turning her head to her companions "I guesss my firsst flight wass more like my firsst crassh landing" Passion and Zara wink back at her from there perch in a tree on the bank.

Remaining in her position on the tree branch Sira slowly roused herself from the sleep she had fallen into, her eyes slowly focussing on the swirling waters below her before she raised her head slowly, her gaze sweeping over the kilven's form before returning to the waters once more.

Sighing, for she had wished for the whole move from Pern to have just been a dream, Sira shifted slightly on the branch, lowering a hand to dangle it in the water, watching the ripples slowly circle outwards from her hand...

By Faranth she missed K'valla and N'iyt... and 'Thura. She missed a few others but those three the most, she wouldn't have been suprised if they'd managed to come over from pern, all three were strong and she'd hoped for thier safe crossing... yet she hadn't seen them, hadn't really found the time although it wasn't as if she had done anything much since arriving, just remained in the village mainly, away from the few people that seemed to have travelled to these lands... the numbers were dwindling though... fewer were arriving with each passing day, soon the Land would be deserted... then what? would they find another land, where people actually roamed otherwise with the diminish of those few remaining the kilvens would die out surely,and Sira, although she could do nothing to help Halae being green and all, didn't want to see that happen.

Looking for a place to rest. -- millicent, 23:17:00 08/25/02 Sun
Walking along the river Millicent notice the small village."I wonder if we could find a placce to sstay." Looking around at some of the cottages most are occupied. But there are a few back further in the trees that are not. Looking through a few they find one that is small but cozy. With one a joint living,cooking and dinning area and a small bedroom off to one side. The cottage is lightly furnished with a table, three chairs two at the table and a bigger softer on in front of fireplace. The fireplace has a pot for cooking next to it, and the bedroom has a good sized bed with a pillow and some blankets. "Well thiss lookss good what do you two think?" Passion coos softly and Zara nuzzles her head on Millicents check in response. "OK then it'ss ssettled. We sstay here." Walking in and closing the door they start to prepare for bed.

Conor patiently follows the river, his sligtly tipsy parter sprawled accross his back in canine fassion. He found a grassy spot on the back and very bluntly shook Jabari off. The blind coinshifter landed with a thump.
"Mrgl?"
'Would you like to buy a vow?'
"Where am I?" Jabari asked, rolling over and splashing a furry hand in the water of the voilet river.
'Back at the Violet river viliage.' Conor said bluntly. He currled up on the floor. 'I returned to the tavern to find you trying to work out where the door was.'
"Was I outside already?"
'No...'
"Then it wasn't a problem." Jabari said, yawning.

Janara walks through the village. Greeting the coinshifters she see around her in their different houses. "So many differences" she thinks as she walk past. "I wonder how I will look one day." Reaching the end of the village, she sits down in the grass, her back against a tree. The sun shining down on her through the fluttering leaves. She sighs and leans back. "I wonder where I should go, the world is so big", she smiles to her thoughts. "Maybe I should rest here for a while?" She sighs again, and as the sun shines on the tree, she drifts of to sleep.

Stepping quietly forwards, hands hanging lifelessly at her sides, Sira moved towards the river that ran through the village. Keeping herself down river a distance from the village Sira walked along in silence, her hazel eyes moving quietly over this new land so unlike the one that had been her home until it's destruction.

Finally stopping beside one of the larger trees at the river bank Sira moved to lay across one of the branches that entended over the purple water.
Possitioned laying length ways down the branch with her head resting on one arm and the other dangling into the gently moving water Sira sighed as she gazed into the somewhat murky depths, trying to work out why life had to be uprooted once more.

*You miss them* the, until now silent, green Kilven watched her lifemate sadly, recognising the lack of expression on the brown haired girl's face.

{them? who? last I knew I wasn't really with anyone.}

*The Riders and dragons, well Kilvens, from my hatching* her tone neutral the green lowered her head as she settled herself beside the tree trunk, worriedly watching her rider.

{You mean the Fortian's I left? The ones who for all I know are dead? Yes, if so, I miss them, but i missed them before so no change there.} turning her head away from the green's gaze Sira rested it once more on her arm, looking along the river seemingly oblivious to anything else.

Conor lands gently on the banks of the violet river, commenting on it's colour.
"Is it safe for drinking?" Jabari asked.
'I have no idea. Do you want to find out?'
"No... no, it's alright." Jabari sat down and sorked his way out of his now ill-fitting shoes. "I'm going to need to find something else to wear some time." He stood, gripping the shoes in one hand and turned away from the sound of the river, and therefore towards the trees. "Shall we find a place to crash?"
'Sounds good.'
