Marthur smiled, hearing the little one's thoughts. "Over there, on the other side of Sarinor. You'll see a whole flock of your kind...and all are mine or Thura's. Go have a look! They'd have been over here flocking you by now, but we sent them over there out of the way for a while." Hearing her kind mentioned, Sundancer fluttered up to investigate. Seeing the blue (? I forgot) on his arm, she crooned for him to come and join her 'family.'

Thura, meanwhile, was definitely getting "on." The waves of pain were much closer now. She began sending uneasy glances toward the other goldrider, the healer. Right now she was so hazy from pain she couldn't even think of the woman's name. Ralek, maybe? Oh, well...if she wasn't aware of the nearness of the birth yet, she would be soon! Thura was finding it more and more difficult to control her cries. It would not be long before she let go...in more than one sense!

Marthur, too, kept glancing at the healer, seeing that his sister kept looking that way. Having lived with a midwife since he was born, he realized the change in pace and the level of pain.
