Subject: Chaos wanders over to Flintage and clears his throat politely, "Excuse me, I'd like to have this made. Can you do it for me?" He guestures once more with the paper in his hand, careful to keep it away from any heat. Unfolding it, he holds it out for Flintage to see. (Description inside)

Stopping a moment in awe of a bustling workroom, he begins to wander about looking for an avaliable dwarf. Finding one who doesn't seem to be very preoccupied, he bows down and kindly taps him on the shoulder, "Excuse me, I'm looking for Flintage the dwarf or his assistant Griblenitch. I'd like something made for me...I have the plans here, if it'd help." he reaches into an inner shirt pocket and takes out a folded piece of paper, the sketch of what he had in mind." on 20:16:31 11/11/03 Tue

"I realize it is a bit complex, but I could probably help make it. I've done a bit of smithing, I'm just not quite good enough to try this." On the paper is a sketch surrounded by notes. The basic design appears to be a simple hiking boot with two pressure plates, one roughly around the arch of the foot and one where the toes would be. The pressue plates appear to activate a thin metal blade hidden in the sole of the boot. The length is about three inches and the width is only about one. It emerges from the front of the boot. The blade is spring baised, designed to come out when pressure is applied appropriately, and to click back into place only when twisted and pushed. Off to one side is a scrawled note of measurements and suggested materials.

Below the picture is another sketch of a similar boot, but it has five blades instead of one and appears far more complex. It's been heavily scibbled out.

  • Flintage squints at the paper and mutters to himself. Eventually he looks up at Chaos. "This will take more then a few days to put together, but it seems in order.
