"Okay, it was a hard choice, you were all exellent. But, I must present Matt and Dresda, our male apprentices with two things. First, each of you get a knife. This is special, for the blade is the purest steel you can find anywhere. The handle id also steel, but in it, I set mother of pearl, a very beautiful shell found from oysters. the sheaths are simple, and leather usually wraps the handle, but htese knives can do anything, cut off a bloodfish, or slice a hair in half, lengthwise. And, second, there is something I award to all of you apprentices. Usually, this is done at the table, but I can't do that. I hereby now promote you to Journeymen and -women. You are well prepared for it. But, you will study much more before you 'journet' to other pods. Indeed, it shall not be until all of you are masters that you do that. And, for my journeywoman Kendra, I promote her to a Master. She willl help me train all of you, and new apprentices. Fair enough?"
