Chimera looked in wonder as one of the pretty flying things (Firlizards, Bassilisk called them) flew toward him, uttering small chirps. It was being his friend! He even thought that maybe it was trying to talk to him. It had taken him years, but he had discovered that wherries and other wild creatures each had, if not a language, then ways to communicate. Maybe the pretty was sending communication noises at him. Chimera sat down, listening with simple innocence to the chirping of the beautiful firelizard.
