After successfully calming the two herders, Yohji and the former-drudge made a makeshift fencing around a small plot of land for the two that backed up against the rock face of the cave. It took them a while to get it to a stopping point, the main frame was up, but if they tried, it wouldn’t stop the two herd beasts.
The boy sprawled out on his back in the fresh grass, looking up at the sky and his newfound freedom. He had never expected anything like this to happen to him, a chance encounter like that… His hand went to his neck, where Yohji’s knife had been. He’d never seen a person look so fierce, or so brave. It had impressed him immediately, and he wanted to become like that: fearless, brave, noble, and strong. He vowed to himself there that he would never let himself be used by other people again, or to be put down upon by other people.

Yohji sat a couple of paces away, his knees half-drawn up to his chest. He stared off over the hills and plains, his mind wandering. Yohji, he heard her sweet voice ring, One day, lets travel all over Pern. See what’s beyond this place, beyond all of it. Lets fly one day Yohji He closed his eyes. He could still remember the way she looked in the moonlight, the sway of her body, the feel of her hand intertwined with his. He could still remember the sweet smell of her dark red hair, and the feel of its softness as it slipped through his fingers.

“Umm, Sir?” the boy said, breaking Yohji’s lamentations.
“Call me Yohji”
“Yohji, I was wondering…could you…me…Could you teach me?”
Yohji looked into the boys questioning brown eyes. Reflections of bronze and gold came from the deep wells.
“Teach you what?”
“Well, how to…be like you. How to fight, steal…”
“Listen, You don’t want to be like me. You don’t want this”
“Yes I do!” The boy sat up “Please, listen to me! Let me be your disciple!”
Yohji’s eyes widened, the boy was determined. He smirked.
“Alright, I’ll train you. BUT so will Basillisk. He knows things I don’t. Any thing we ask you to do you do, without hesitation”
The boy nodded enthusiastically, that would be easy. Yohji smiled.
“What’s your name boy?”
++Long pause++
“Well, heh, actually…”
Yohji looked at him in disbelief. Had really no one named this child?
“Don’t worry kid, I’m sure one of the girls will come up with a nice name for ya” He patted the boys shoulder.

((OOC Comments: Lets play: Name that Drudge! Really though, my creative juices have run out. Please, people name him! Also, Yohji’s a bit sentimental isn’t he? Not something you see everyday. And is it just me or did the drudge’s first paragraph seem a bit yoai-tainted to you? I’ll try to fix that…))
