Shay was still leaning into Lyranth's golden hide, drinking in her lifemate's delightful smell, when her ears caught familiar voices. Ralek! And Z'vi... Much as she didn't want to admit it, Shay had missed seeing her brother, as they hadn't met much in the past few months. She stayed by Lyranth for the time being, wanting to hear what they were saying. She heard Ralek give her approval of Shay's new position, and sank deeper into Lyranth's belly with a sigh of relief.

Shay smiled softly and straightened as she heard Z'vi call her name. She rushed over and hugged him. 'Oh, it's good to see a familiar face!... and Ralek! Where have you been? You were ill?' Shay had heard of none of this yet, but then again, Ralek must have only just returned. 'And Z'vi,' she poked him lightly in the chest, 'How about you? You disappeared for a while there too.'
