Subject: A family rides up
In reply to: Corpulus the merchant of the rolling wheel 's message, "Rolling in" on 17:00:08 04/03/02 Wed

They move slowly, seeing as not all had runner beasts, and a few had to walk. When the group is close enough to see the Rolling Wheel flags, they visibly begin to move more quickly, and soon you can see the actual party. At the front rides a man, you appears to be somewhere in his late 30s or early forties. Slightly behind three people ride abreast on the road, and they appear to be a dark haired maiden and a red haired young man in their twenties, staying close to an slightly older woman, with auburn hair pulled back. Behind them jogs a last runner beast, with two smiling youngsters bouncing on its back. On either side of the last elderly runner, two girls jog, holding onto the reins of the beast, and making sure it does not stop or run off with the children on its back. Stopping several yards away from the caravan, the leading man stops and slips off his runner, handing its reins to one of his daughters, who had slipped away from the elderly runner and her younger siblings to assist her father. Briefly tousling her dark hair, and receiving a small smile in return, he strode towards Corpulus. “Hello! I’m Tarin Rey, and this is my family. We were told that we could find a place in your caravan.” He ventures a friendly smile, and holds out one broad hand. In the background the red haired girl unloads two giggling sticky-faced six-turn olds (They were given a bubbly pie to stop them from tormenting the poor beast they were riding.) from the old runner beast, who is now contentedly doing his duty to the Hold by removing a bit of grass from where it was growing up between the cobble stones of the square. The two young adults are taking care of all the beasts, rubbing them down and giving them water, while the woman slowly approaches, her lamed leg now in evidence.
