Gen. Descrip.: Short, slender, but with a soft outline and round gentle face, he looks quite a few years younger than he actually is. His skin is pale. His gemstones are dark wine-red.

Personality: Very quiet, shy, and skittish.

History: In a desperate attempt to stave off the Plague, scientists created test subjects-- bipedal, mostly furless, completely tailess. About twenty of the genetically engineered critters survived early childhood, and a quarter of these developed plague immunities-- But alas, the scientists died of the self-same virus before they could isolate the antibody or gene that made those five experiments immune.
Oni is one of those five.
After the death of the last scientist, Oni went on with his best friend and another one of the experimental group, getting jobs as whatever kept food on the table-- including mercenary work, assassinations, and other dirty jobs, although Oni rarely took those, perfering the less-well paid but cleaner jobs he could get as a healer. The three of them also soon became guardians of the other experimental children, providing shelter when things got thin or dangerous, and lending out money when they could. Recently, one of the trio-- Takeo-- broke out of the group and went off freelancing. Oni doesn't know why his best friend and honorary little brother left the group, but he blames himself, and Seph doesn't try to stop that.

Relationships: Takeo is his honorary little brother, Seph is a rather distant friend (On both sides), and otherwise Oni doesn't have contact with many people outside of the Experimental group.
