Subject: The Emperor would at least live here.

Dear Group,

A friend of ours by the name of Andy Lehrer pointed out on the Monarchist League of Canada Discussion Forum a very good point about Queen Elizabeth. His point was how little time she ever spends in Canada. In the last fifty years Queen Elizabeth has spent 190 days in Canada. That works out to less then 4 days a year, on average (3.8 days a year to be precise). Considering that an immigrant needs to live in Canada for 1,095 days to qualify for Canadian citizenship, she has 17% of the time present in Canada that would be required of her to qualify to become a citizen of Canada, under normal circumstances. At the rate of 3.8 days a year, it would take her another 238 years still to go to qualify to be a Canadian citizen. At a rate of 3.8 days a year, that comes to a total of 288 years to qualify. Shes got a long way to go yet!! How many jobs in Canada require you to report to work only three and a half to four days a year? If nothing else, she should be fired from her position in Canada as a no show, no call!! I know any job I have ever worked anywhere in the world would fire a person who shows up only three or four times a year!!
If nothing else, the republican movement in Canada should support us because at least we are in agreement on two things:
1) that whoever replaces Queen Elizabeth must be a Canadian citizen, and live in Canada and,
2) that the new Emperor of the Canadian Empire have a better attendance record at his job than Queen Elizabeth has had.
Finally, my deepest sympathies to you Andy that John Aimers censored your entirely valid point from his discussion forum. One of the other things I will add to the Imperial Canada political platform is that we belive in the individuals freedom of expression. Without the freedom to disagree with others, even government, and the freedom to voice those opinions, there is no freedom at all!! Even though we harbour differing views Andy, I totally respect your views, and much enjoy reading your posts. I hope you post again here soon Andy.
Many Thanks,
Ronald Dykeman
