Howde

I'm a member of Company G Queensland Australia. Am having a bit of trouble with history and you may be able to steer me in a better direction.

I believed that Captain JC Jackson was in charge of Forrest's Escort. However one book only mentions him in the battle of Brice's Crossroads and another doesn't include any mention of him at all in a listing of all of Forrest's officers.

Why is Capt Jackson so forgotten when he fought with Forrest for the entire war? Can you suggest a reference that tells his story.

Any help appreciated.

Trooper Ted
