Subject: Argentina bans descrambler manufacturing/sale/purchase/advertising


Just a little bit of (bad) news: Argentine's Senate is set to pass a law banning descrambler manufacturing, advertising, sale and purchase. Here's the full newspaper article in Spanish: http://www.clarin.com/diario/hoy/s-04601.htm , and here's the relevant part:

"Por unanimidad, la Cámara de Diputados aprobó ayer un proyecto de ley para penalizar las emisiones clandestinas de radio y de televisión. La iniciativa también prevé sancionar a quienes realicen o posibiliten conexiones no autorizadas. [...] La fabricación, publicitación, venta o compra de decodificadores u otros dispositivos para captar señales cuya recepción no sea libre o gratuita, podría ser reprimida con un mes a dos años de cárcel, e inhabilitación por el doble de tiempo de la condena. El mismo castigo se aplicaría a quienes hagan conexiones ilegales."
