Subject: Which layout of Piu to build?

Hi Folks,
I've been looking at Tom's 3chip page and I'm a little unclear on which version of the Pui to build. Dan's layout looks nice at it takes into account some of the problems with rev1 (more decoupling caps). But the files it comes with state its never been built or tested. If I'm going to be etching my own board, which way should I go? I'm thinking dan's layout.
