Subject: Dave2

Shortly, I have a 3 Chip board similar to Dave2 (minor differences); there is a PIC16C54XT-P on it. It doesn't work. Looking in the 3 Chip site I noticed that for that tipe of board (how I got it is another long and nice story) I shoud use Rev7t1a code; however, there is a small difference in the hardware between Canton (for which the code was designed as I understand) and Dave2 (it's the pin 18 of the PIC, it seems to have a different function).
Question: what was the original purpose of that connection in Dave2 project and why it was dumped? Without it will my old board work with the new code?
I have the possibility to program a PIC. What code would actualy be the most apropriate? (probably this is the only question I should ask)
Titi
