See if the tail end 6k contains valid data (hopefully invalid - all 000's all FFF's) and if so remove it. There should be a jump to the program entry point at address 07FF (last of 2k bytes) and this should be the last data in the file. I'd use a hex editor like hex workshop or whatever on the bin file to do this.
