Subject: Can Someone Please Point Me In The Right Direction.

I'm looking to find out which board I should buid. Canton's or PIU's. The Canton5 has alot of adjustments. The system of descrambling used in my area is the SSAVI. I have the PicStart Plus. I previously made and programed one of the earlier models of the magicbox. But could never get it to work. Today there is better code and boards. I'm on the NTSC band of Cable. Can some point me now in the right direction.

Can the Canton5 board work with Dan's Giln18 code for NTSC and ported for the PIC16F84A?
Are there any complications in exchanging the PIC16C56XT/P with a PIC16F84A?
Will I have to make changes in Dan's gilln18a.hex code for it to work with the Canton5 board to descamble the SSAVI type system?
If So, could someone please again help me with port changes to hex file... I know very little of programming but can edit hex files with help on changes.
Does Any body have a parts list to the Canton5 boards?
