California Amplifier, is a manufacturer, they make MMDS microwave downconverter units, then went into descrambling, they use a proprietary descrambler method, called Multicipher, which uses a descrambler card, it checks the subscriber number, if authorized, automatically descramblers the channels, is a broadband system, coming downstream off a California Amplifer MMDS downconverter, is then downconverted into Pal/NTSC format, also into either VHF or UHF forms.
