Hi, Phil! Sorry for delay in reply, but I'm very busy at my work. The code for SA is working pretty well, I found some more flags in SA stream and added it to code. In fact, SA stream actually uses the line 16 for video inversion, and either line 260 or 261 to help the decoder to identify the SA mode.
I have seen various mode os scrambling in SA stream, inclusive ramdom modes that mixes video and burst inversion, only video inversion, etc. but all detectable by 3Chip without any special modifications.I added a second NE592/LM733 to get the burst invert capability and I also added DC restoration circuit with a second 4066 and a TL082 to sample the line 16 or line 20 to get the black level. With help of AGC hack, the image is so good as the original equipment. Because of image quality, the board was turned in a commercial design. Unfortunatelly I can't release the commercial code, but I can tell the flags I used to get the alghoritm working. Leave your email and I'll send the pictures I got watching the stream. Is very interesting.
