This problem is usually caused by too much gain in the video amp. The amp should have unity gain. In other words, the amplitude of the video out should be the same as the video in. If there is too much gain, the dark parts of the picture start interfering with sync.

When posting messages about problems, please tell what version board and software you are using and what type of scrambling system is used in your area.
