Subject: Descramble Format Suggestions

About 10 years ago my cable system used the tri-mode method of scrambling that was explained in the '87 RE magazine. I successfully built the circuit and then put the descrambler in storage. Last week, I noticed that the descrambler does not work and went to look at the sync information that is present on the audio carrier (AM modulated). The sync and decode information is there, but is not the same as it was 10 years ago... My question.. is this decode data stream the same format as the GI line 18 data stream? I would appreciate any insight as to what system my cable company is currently using. I plan on building a baseband 3chip version, but wanted to understand what is being modulated on the audio carrier first. In the old tri-band system, the horiz sync info was interleaved with the decode data ,delayed by 20uSec. Now it appears to be delayed by ~45uSec. Anyway, any information would be appreciated...
Thanks.. jim
