Subject: Need info about the 3Chip design

Hi everyone.

1 year ago, I bought a descrambler in Moncton NB Canada. The descrambler worked perfectly on their system (I beleive they use GI/Jerrold systems). I just moved to Quebec city and my descrambler doesn't work on their system (I read that they use ssavi system by zenith(ZTAC) on this newsboard).

Is it possible to simply change a chip in my descrambler to get it working here or is it now a useless expensive little box?

I don't know which 3Chip design was used (or if it's one of the 3Chip design at all). However, by looking at the different 3Chip design, they look similar to my board, but none are exactly the same. What I know is that my descrambler uses a PIC16C54-XT/P, a LM339 14pin chip and a TA7607AP 16pin chip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
