hi, well as a minium i would use atleast 400mhz with 256mb of ram, i think pinnacle systems DV cards all use SCSI stuff wich can be kinda tricky.what i would suggest is going to a store like "best buy" and looking at a sony viao system last time i looked they had some pretty good deals on the viao system (under $1000)- viao is DV ready and it has a I-link or fire wire DV input/output.
