Subject: PA Soft tournaments/website change

Just a reminder to let you know that the PA Softball/Heishman's Softball Complex website has moved to a new location. We can now be found on the web at: http://pa-softball.com

If you haven't been to our site lately, it contains information both on tournaments to be held at the complex, along with all kinds of information for coaches, including softball news, tournament listing board, PA Softball forum, scrimmages wanted section, 2003 player college commitments, tournament results from travel tournaments, and also links to other softball sites.

PA Softball is located in South Central PA and our tournaments are some of the largest, most well run tournaments in the area. Heishman's Softball Complex located outside Carlisle, PA serves as our headquarters for our tournaments. This year we will be holding 7 tournaments, and our Firecracker tournament is full with 72 teams. The 7 game guarantee format of the Firecracker and Memorial Day Madness has attracted some of the best teams on the eastern seaboard, including several top teams from nationals. The Memorial Day tournament has a few openings, but I expect them to fill shortly (same format as the Firecracker). Other tournaments at the complex include the PA State Championships on June 28-29, June Jamboree on June 14-15, the PA Payout on June 7-8 ($500. prize to winning team), Recreation State Championships on July 19-20, and our Summer Ending Finale tournament on August 9-10. All non-holiday tournaments are 5 games guaranteed, with the price set at $310 for qualifiers and $290 for non-qualifiers - get in a few extra games at our tournaments with the 5 game guarantee. The holiday tournaments guarantee 7 games to your team ($395), along with a unique skills competition and a fireworks display. So far this year over 220 teams have registered to play in the 7 tournaments - don't be one of the ones who have already be left out! Now in our 8th year, we have the fields (21 groomed), trained umpires (73) and experience (8 years) that teams demand and deserve.

We will also be hosting a new event for 2003, the Women's Fastpitch Grand Slam Series, which is being co-sponsored by the Carroll County Sports Complex. The series will feature 4 tournaments for adult teams, who can play in one, or up to all 4 of the events. Tournament prizes, along with series prizes will be awarded.

See our website for more information on the tournaments, including maps and directions to the parks, hotel information, online registration, tournament information, teams already entered, complex pictures, tournament rules, and more.

Area attractions include Hersheypark theme park - one of the largest theme parks on the coast including the Giant Center, a zoo, over 60 rides, and catered picnics. Many teams elect to take an extra day to visit each year. Only minutes away, spend an extra day and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of South Central PA. Discount tickets are available.

I hope those of you who signed up for our mailing list received and enjoyed our annual newsletter. If you did not receive a newsletter - unfortunately we are out! Over 1,000 newsletters ended up being mailed, containing 2003 nationals info, 2002 season wrap-up, 2003 tournament info, and softball news updates, college commitments, etc. If you would like on our mailing list for 2003, you can sign up here (it only takes a few seconds).

Good luck this coming season and if you have any questions regarding tournaments or the website feel free to contact me either by email or phone anytime. Thanks.
