Subject: FURTHER INFERNO TRYOUTS

The Jersey Inferno will be holding another Southern tryout on Saturday, August 23, at 11:00 at Stauffer Field in Deptford, NJ. A Northern tryout will be held in Basking Ridge at Ridge Varsity field on Sunday, August 24 at 1:00 p.m.

We are looking for committed players with above-average speed who can play multiple positions. At this point all positions have openings. Our schedule is one of the most competitive in the state with this fall including Kyle Miller, Rising Stars, Florida, Team NJ Showcase, and several other college exposure tournaments. Our summer 2004 schedule will include Colorado, Pennsbury, Team NJ Showcase, Plantation and other college exposure tournaments, with a goal of attending ASA Nationals for the 4th year in a row.

Directions to Stauffer field are as follows: From the East: Take Route 42 North towards Philadelphia. Take the Deptford mall/Route 41 CLements Bridge Road exit. Make a left at the bottom of the exit ramp on Clements Bridge Road, go past the mall, make a right on Route 621, Almonesson Road, cross over the NJ Turnpike and Route 295. The fields are on your right. From the south: Cross the Delaware Memorial Bridge, take 295 North to Exit 21. At the bottom of the ramp, bear right onto Delaware St. Take Delaware St. app. 3-1/2 miles to the 4th traffic light and make a left on Route 544 CLements Bridge Rd. Take Clements Bridge Rd. app. 1 mile to the second traffic light. Make a left on Route 621 Almonesson Rd. THe fields are app. 1 mile on the right. From the north: Take 295 South to Route 42 So. to Route 55 So. to exit 58 to traffic light. Make a left at the light on Route 621 Almonesson Rd. The fields are app. 1-1/4 miles on your right. From the west: Cross the Walt Whitman Bridge to Route 42 South. Follow directions above "from the north."

Directions to Ridge Varsity field are as follows:From Route 287 Northbound:Take Route 287 North to the Exit for Mount Airy Rd./Liberty Corner. This will put you on Mount Airy Rd. in the direction you need to go. Make first left onto Lake Road. Take Lake Rd. to end (app. 2 miles). Make a left onto South Finley Ave. Make first right onto Collyer Lane. Take Collyer to end. Make right onto South Maple Ave. You will pass Lord Stirling stables and a very small produce stand on your left side. About 100 feet past the produce stand, on your right-hand side, is the entrance to Varsity Field. There's a Community Center on the corner. You cannot see the field from the street. Pathway to field is at the far left-hand corner of the parking lot.

From Route 287 Southbound:Take Route 287 South to exit for North Maple Avenue/Basking Ridge. Exit will put you on North Maple in the direction you need to go. You will go a few miles, passing the Bernards Twp. library, Lord Stirling stables and a very small produce stand. About 100 feet past the produce stand, on your right-hand side, is the entrance to Varsity Field. There's a Community Center on the corner. You cannot see the field from the street. Pathway to field is at the far left-hand corner of the parking lot.

From Route 78 Westbound:Take Route 78 West to Exit 36. At end of exit make a right. Go a few miles almost to end. You will pass a Getty station on your right just before the road ends. Immediately after Getty station, take the right-hand turn-off. Go under the railroad trestle and make your first right onto Cross Road. Take Cross Rd. to end. Make left onto South Maple Ave. You will pass War Memorial field on your left. A short distance after War Memorial field is the entrance to Varsity field on the left side. There's a Community Center on the corner. You cannot see the field from the street. Pathway to field is at the far left-hand corner of the parking lot.

From Route 78 Eastbound:Directions are the same as 78 westbound except you make a left at the end of the exit instead of a right.

If coming from South Jersey, take Turnpike North to Exit 10. Follow signs for 287 North and continue to follow directions above.
