Subject: Frozen Ropes Clinics and Softball Showcase

Dear Parents, Coaches & Players,

The Frozen Ropes Baseball and Softball Training Center of Glen Burnie, Maryland would cordially like to invite you to our fastpitch "Softball Weekend" October 12 & 13. We will be hosting both player clinics and coaches clinics, as well as a softball showcase event. Two-time Olympic Gold Medallist, Leah O'Brien-Amico will be a special guest for each of the instructional clinics She is a great individual and a dynamic speaker. A player of this magnitude coming to the area will serve as a great role model for all of the girls softball players in the region. Leah will show what is possible to accomplish in woman's sports today.

Two-Time Softball Gold Medallist To Visit Glen Burnie
Leah O’Brien-Amico to Attend Frozen Ropes “Softball Weekend”
Two-time Olympic Softball Gold Medallist and veteran team USA player, Leah O’Brien-Amico will visit the Frozen Ropes Baseball and Softball Training Center; in Glen Burnie October 12 and 13. Prior to her international success, Ms. Obrien-Amico was a three-time collegiate All-American, three-time All Women’s College World Series Selection and three-time NCAA World Series champion at the University of Arizona. Frozen Ropes is a 12,000 square foot indoor training facility located in Glen Burnie,Maryland which offers training programs for both baseball and fast-pitch softball. The Frozen Ropes training curriculum is nationally recognized with baseball and softball world.

Frozen Ropes will conduct two player clinics Friday October 12; Session 1 for players ages 7-12 from 6-8:00 PM and Session 2 for players ages 13-18 from 8-10:00 PM. On Saturday October 12, from 10-12:00 Noon, Frozen Ropes will conduct an instructional clinic for area youth, high school, and college coaches. Topics for each clinic will include hitting, windmill pitching, in-game mental tools, and visual mechanics. Ms. Obrien-Amico will serve as a special guest instructor for each of the three clinics as well as the College Showcase event. The two-time Olympic Gold Medallist; will also lead a discussion regarding her experiences during her college and Olympic career. As a special treat for clinic attendees, she will sign autographs and pose for photographs with her two Olympic Gold Medals.

Immediately following the Saturday coaches clinic, Frozen Ropes will host a college showcase event for prospective college players from 1-5:00 PM. Representatives from junior college and all NCAA Divisions will be in attendance to observe registered players softball skills. We have invited approximately 175 college coaches and are hoping to have at least a minumum of 35-40.
