If you want to use your nails as weapons you must learn to use them. I have 1/2 inch nails and file them sharp. If you fight, your attacker wears, shoes, trousers and a shirt. So you can only claw an scratch his head, neck, hands and sometime his arms, but that was enough.
You must only use the correct technique.
For example if you scratch the arms of a man with a crosswise move (like with a knife) you can scratch with ease all along the arm and your nails automatically sank in with their full lengh. Another trick is clawing in the soft skin of his hand between his fingers, it hurts like hell. Or if you stick your nails in his nose he will bleed like he was slaughtered. It is also crazy upsetting a man. You must take a foot behind him and claw in his gum in front of his teeth push him back with your clawed hand. Additionally you can do this by pinching his ear. For scratching his face, move crosswise, too.
You need much training to do this very fast, but your attacker has no chance becaused he will be shocked from all the bloody wounds he will have in seconds.
