The weather cold and gray
leaves little for the day

a heart however hot
can't find a warming spot

simple reminders of spring
can be a chilling thing

so, bundle yourself up warm
keep hoping for the sun

knowing, it's hard to believe
in a couple of months
you'll wish it would leave
