Representando o Rio Grande do Norte, Valeria Bohm foi a 2a. colocada no Miss Brasil 1997, vencido por uma das atuais sócias do concurso, a mineira Nayla Micherif.

Valéria Bohm foi semifinalista no Miss Beleza Internacional 1997 e salvou a "pátria de salto" naquele ano. Nayla Micherif (Miss Brasil Universo) e Fernanda Agnes (Miss Brasil Mundo) não chegaram às semifinais nos concursos nos quais representaram o país.

Valéria seguiu em frente como modelo.
