Subject: De olho no Miss Mundo 2003: Isabelle Jonsson, em busca do 4o. título para a Suécia

A força da Suécia nos concursos internacionais pode não ser mais a mesma, mas o país ainda hoje está entre os líderes nos rankings internacionais em função de um passado glorioso, especialmente entre os anos 50 a 70.



No Miss Mundo, venceu em 1951, 1952 e 1977. Em 1978, chegou em 2o. lugar, quase repetindo as duas vitórias consecutivas dos anos 50.



Foi finalista em 1955, 1956, 1958, 1963, 1970 e 74.



Chegou às semifinais em 1965, 1967, 1968, 1971, 1980, 1985, 1988 e 1993. Nos últimos dez anos, a Suécia este ausente das semifinais do Miss Mundo.



Este ano tentará seu 4o. título com Isabelle Jonsson.
