Antes de embarcar para São Paulo, falamos por telefone con nossa Miss Brasil/Mundo. Quando tivermos mais informações sobre a agenda de Joyce, divulgaremos. Simpática e receptiva como sempre, Joyce deixou uma mensagem para o MBMB:


"Quero agradecer profundamente a todos vocês. O apoio que recebi e estou recebendo de vocês é muito importante para mim. É com este carinho que me sinto ainda mais estimulada para representar o Brasil na África do Sul. Estou voltando hoje para a minha cidade e quero dizer que vou me preparar muito para ter uma atuação no Miss Mundo como o Brasil merece. Podem ter certeza que eu farei tudo para estar a altura do carinho de vocês. Um beijo e que Deus abençoe a todos!"
