Segundo o Sr. Boanerges Gaeta Jr, Pres. da Gaeta Produções e Eventos, responsável pelo Miss Brasil, as candidatas ao título de Miss Brasil 2004 devem ter entre 18 anos e 25 anos entre 1 de fevereiro e 31 de dezembro de 2004.
Embora o Miss Universo tenha 26 anos como idade máxima (em 1 de fevereiro), o limite dos concursos Miss Mundo e Miss Beleza Internacional é 25 anos.
Considerando que o Miss Brasil escolhe representantes não apenas para o Miss Universo, mas para o três concursos, fixou-se 25 anos (entre 1/2 e 31/12 do ano do concurso) como a idade máxima
