Subject: If he weren't worried about...
In reply to: Lord Denarius 's message, "Perhaps..." on 18:13:57 01/19/02 Sat

...the various situations that had developed, Lord Lye-Onitron may have been enjoying himself a bit more, but as it was there were decisions to be made that may very well impact the continuance of his own future.

Here was the only human in the Senate, voicing his opinion and laying bare this idea of making the council out to be the public heroes. A good idea if it weren't for the fact that the human held ties to the council that most of the Senate did not. Such a ploy, if anyone survived, would likely work but it would still (in the end) make the senatorial position nigh useless. Lord Lye-Onitron would see how the other senators play this dealt holocard before moving on it. After the things Kit had briefed him on he did not enjoy the council's position and the fact that they were free to move about the cosmos...well, that was bordering on dangerous. True, he could take some solace in the predictability of the others. The fool senator and his constant babble of that earthanic sport for the marine life. Perhaps revel in the thought that Embyr bordered on nigh-template with her predictable rejection of the 'feared' technology and resorting to using the 'old model' of war. The warrior never falls far from his sword, I believe the saying goes...? No matter.

Now, Betacron's proposal. That was completely unexpected. True the Draconion colony supplied a great amount of income but why defend Cybertron when with us out of the picture they could become the new "Center" of the Cosmos. It wouldn't be to hard to imagine the seemingly altruistic peoples of Dracon becoming the next force to be reconed with in the universe. After all, on old Earth, The United States and Russia were allies against the Germans before the Cold War which would span the next fifty years.

No, that idea, was dangerous. How to approach this...

Our human friend does pose an option for the presentation of salvation but as for the actual position, what say you all? Personally, I would rather that our main defense is here at Cybertron with use of trans...rather, any technology that offers us the greatest advantage. Be it the Pegasus Hub, or the Strategos Canons Hegemon speaks of or anything else that is definitively ours. Forgive my mistrust of the draconions, but the fact of the matter is that although we are allies, they are not Cybertronions. Our human friend can lay more claim to that title than they and his boldness proves his reason for being on such a board as this.

Decius? Always the silent scientist? DO you have any proposals, positions or plans that you would wish to lay at the table? I'm sure we would all benefit from hearing your view? And if not, what say you all? This idea of Omicron as our last bastion...is this feasable? Population control and defensive perimeter? What can be done? Ah, me, and the masses of Cybertron? When should we issue notice? Things are happening much to quickly...
