Dear GSU Finance faculty,

I am an undergraduate Alum, and ironically find myself returning to you for yet some more help. I work for Prudential Capital Group, the private lending arm of the Prudential Insurance Company, in Atlanta. We are currently seeking to hire two Analysts - one this May/June, and another at the end of this summer. Since this need is a sudden and unexpected one, we have no formal recruitment process in place. I would truly appreciate it if you could take the effort and time to make your students aware of this opportunity in your classes. This is a very exciting 3 year position in corporate finance, and one that I personally have learned an incredible amount from. A brief description of the Company and the position is as follows:

PCG invests Prudential Insurance Company's capital in private corporate bond issuances. We invest in investment grade, below investment grade (high yield)and mezzanine debt issuances. Our private equity investments in mezzanine deals expose Analysts to warrant valuations and principles of private equity sponsorship. Our presence in the mezzanine debt market allows for exposure to and relationship building with private equity and venture capital firms in the southeast.

The Analyst's role in the investment process is actually quite an extensive one.
Analysts are given the responsibility of:
- analyzing the issuer company's credit quality based on historical financial statements and proforma analysis
- researching and analyzing the business and industry in terms of competition, exposure to economic cycles, growth, barriers to entry/exit, demand etc.
- valuation of the company and warrants based on industry EBITDA multiples
- conducting financial projections to see what the company will look like five years from now given 3-4 different growth and economic scenarios
- recommending what the proforma credit quality should be based on the analysis, and preparing a "Pricing Memo" for review by the MDs
- maintaining knowledge of capital markets.
