I can relate alot to a previous poster who'd decided to disperse, but, just couldn't. I dearly love the lil horses. With my nice boys, seeking out certain lines/mares for crosses, comparing mine to those of others', etc., the work and commitment to be the best breeder for the animals I love has consumed me for over a decade. I've happily pursued my passion, fortunate to be able to do so 24/7. However, as a friend stated, 'you've put the animals' welfare before your own for far too long'. And, over time, we change. I've always struggled with my decision to leave my family in St. Louis, Mo., but, after losing my leg, felt it necessary. Losing my sweet, Daddio has been worse than I imagined, and, has made me long for my family even more. My Mom's turning 80 and moving to an assisted living apartment. I need to be there more.
Honestly, I don't know what i'm going to do. My herd's the best it's ever been! In fact, recently added the handsome, blk/wht, homozygous, BREWERS CLASSIC STARMAKER, along with a loud, homo, pintaloosa, Orion Commander daughter, thanks to Bev Thawley of Knollac Farm, and, KC and Vicki of Boothill Transport. A trainer friend, I've known for years just visited, and, amid conversation remarked, 'nobody compares to DESIGN'. I KNOW!? Still, it's been an uphill climb. I haven't, yet, achieved my goal of a World title in Get of Sire for DARK DESIGN, and, TALENT's equally as good or better!
So, I'm doing/considering a number of things i.e. selling and/or leasing some, shopping real estate back home and, also, closer to DFW, thinking about having a roommate, being a farm mgr., etc. Something needs to change so I can, at least, get home more, regularly, without worrying about my horses. I probably will move home in the near future, I just don't think I can quit breeding right now! Wish I could figure out a way to live off season in Mo. and show season in Tx.! lol I'm open to anything.
First, I have 2 very nice boys, and, a very tall and pregnant, blk/wht mare I would all but give away to appropriate homes. Boys would make excellent, youth/amateur/gelding prospects. One is 2 yrs, 32", 2x Orion and twin to his grandsire, Orion Fantastic, likely, homo, too. The other is a yrlg, will mature about 31", is black and much finer in type, Irish Ladd/BTU lines. Both are pretty headed.

I have some beautiful, tiny miniature horses for sale. They are all double registered
and out of some really nice champion lines. They range in size from 25 inches full
grown to our tallest of 30 inches. These are truly the smallest miniatures I have ever
seen or ever had the privilege of owning. They are all extremely gentle and healthy.
We trim their feet every 6 weeks, they have had all their shots and wormings. During
the day they run outside in the open paster and at night they are stalled. Each female
is bred for this years spring and summer foaling. Currently we have 12 females and
3 tiny studs, they range in color from pure white, to pure black and then I have a lot
of different colors of paints. Please contact me for more information and current

Hi,I am looking to add another mini mare to my small herd. I will not be able to bring the mare here until between october and december-so I need someone who can hold onto the mare for a while,allowing me to put a deposit and payments -with mare paid off prior to transport. She will need to come with current coggins included. I am looking for a healthy mare-preference between age 5-12 years,good legs/feet,good mouth/bite-healthy with pretty refined head,decent lenght of neck and who can move nicely-not choppy movement. If this isn't her first foal-must have had no foaling problems in past-be reproductively healthy and ultrasounded in foal. Will consider any color OTHER than RED ROAN !! But bucksins,appys and blood bays & blue eyes catch my eye :)
I will be looking at Conformation 1st-price 2nd-bloodlines and color 3rd. If you have a mare/s for me to consider-please send me info,pics,bloodlines etc on the mare/s. Must be AMHA or AMHA/R regsitered. Would also be needing info on the stallion the mare is bred to,and when the mare is due.

Susan is a middle school Technology and Science teacher at Neodesha middle school. She attended Kansas State University and received an Animal Science degree. She returned to school at Pittsburg State University and received a secondary Education degree with certification in Family and Consumer Science and Science. Susan has been the Horse Judging Coach at Neodesha High School for 10 years. Susan learned to drive draft horses in 1995 when she attended the preliminary plowing demonstration for the World Percheron Congress held in Kansas City. A gentleman from Iowa offered to teach her how to drive with his team of three horses. The team won first place in the plowing competition at the World Congress. Susan has assisted at a youth camp in Udall, Kansas for 4 years and has taught over fifty girls and boys how to harness and drive a drive horse.
Angela Harmon
Angela is a graduate of AgriScience Education – Service Option at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Angela has worked around horses since the age of 6. The purchase of a well-trained Percheron mare accelerated Angela’s interest in learning to drive a horse. Angela attended a Percheron Draft Horse Youth Clinic in Indiana the summer of 1998 and fine-tuned the art of driving draft horses. Angela was selected as the National Percheron Draft Horse Queen in 1999 and attended the Indiana State Fair and Iowa State Fair to help show and hand out ribbons. She was also a member of the Northeastern Oklahoma Horse Judging Team in 1999 and 2000. She was selected in 2001 as one of four finalists in the United States for her Equine Placement Supervised Agricultural Experience in FFA.

I know this may be next to impossible, but I am going to post it anyway. I am looking for a VERY well-broke, "bomb-proof" gelding. This gelding needs to meet the following criteria:
Needs MANY road/highway miles in traffic.(Parades a PLUS!)
Needs to be very calm and accepting of new situations.
Needs to be mellow enough for a novice driver.
Needs to be patient, well behaved, and easy to catch and handle.(pocket pet!)
Needs to get along with other horses, including mares in heat.(NO stallion tendancies!)
Does not need to be registered, as we are only looking to use strictly for our own pleasure driving at home, in parades etc.
30"-34" preferred, but may consider up to 35".
Priced Reasonable!
Prefer pinto, but will consider others.
Will consider an "aged" gelding only, that has been gelded, and broke for several years, and driven regularily.
Have pinto mares that I would be willing to work out a trade with, for "Mr. Right".

Rosa Roca's Dreamin' Of Gold is an AMHR 2001 light palomino colt with four perfectly matched white socks, a bald face, and blue eyes. Sired by an overo producer, this colt almost certainly carries the overo gene. Currently about 32" tall, he should mature around 34-35". He has a lovely head, a long slender neck, and a great future ahead of him. Priced reduced to only $500.

Sutherlin's Little Shazam is a 1998 sorrel AMHR overo stallion. Blue eyes, four white stockings, 36.25". Multiple Res. Champion in very limited showing. Proven sire (see some of his foals in second picture), easy to handle and breed. Some of his foals are staying well under 34", even out of "B" mares. She was shown some as a weanling, by her breeder, and did well for herself, placing in all of her classes. Her dam is a black tovero pinto, also with 2 blue eyes, and her sire is a bay pinto. Prettyface has been DNA tested, and was found to be homozygous for producing black based foals only! She measured in at 32.75" on July 10, 2002, so is expected to mature at approximately 35.5". Joe LaClair of Wayland, in Western NY had eight minis stolen from his property last week.
The people cut the wire, drove in and took all the horses but the one without a halter.
They even took this mare's unweaned foal.
The horses had relatively new halters on, the girls were purple or pink, the boys had teal halters.
There were knots in the tops of the halters.
They are as follows.
36" black mare with a white stomach and 3 white dots under right eye.
chestnut mare - 1/2 blind in the left eye
Big B black mare with a hitch in her getalong like as with "stringhalt" or locked stifle.
3 almost identical
young chestnut mares - 2 with strips on the face and one with a snip.
32-33"
buckskin/white pinto weanling filly, with a duck's shape on her face and a heart on her right side in her white (may look gray when clipped)
black and white colt (clipped looks gray) only 7 weeks old
dapple pinto filly 4 months.

Mandy is a 16H, 20yr "smutty" buckskin with a blaze. We have had to make some tough decisions and we need to find her a new home. Mandy was originally trained english and to jump however she lost the vision in her left eye when she was 8 and her owners quit jumping her. She was used as a lesson horse and came to me at 14yr. Mandy is the horse I put beginners on in the arena, because she is so good with them. We have ridden her western for our own pleasure and had her out on trails. She has alot of "go" out on trails and seems to really enjoy getting out. I would like to trade Mandy for a mini mare (approx 34") if that's possible, and get her a good home. Due to our circumstances she has not been ridden this year and is going to waste here sitting in the pasture. She needs a home where she will be ridden and loved. Mandy is current on vac, worming, trimming and has a current coggins. We are located in the very southwest corner of WI. AMHR five year old gelding. He is 36.75 inch silver bay with a white mane and tail. His papers have him listed as a sorrell. He has won at least one Grand Championship and several Sr. Champions. He has been handled by an amateur and a youth. I believe he would make a nice roadster horse, but he could also be a Country Pleasure Driving horse which ever way you would want to go. He is currently on our show string and will be taken to the Halloween Spooktacular Show in Glen Rose, Texas on October 26-28th, 2001. That will be his last show this season and will be ready to go to a new home if not sold between now and then. His name is Orion Escapade Vanilla Socks, he is a grandson of Orion Light Van't Huttenest. (Orion is a well sought out AMHA stallion). He has straight legs, good bite, loads, clips, baths. I have a gray dun miniature donkey weanling gelding for sale for $400. He is gentle, loveable, and mostly halter trained, and very cute! Theodore loves attention. These make terrific guardians and they will charge at dogs and small wildlife that intrude the pasture. Theodore has been raised with my miniature foals, and he will be an asset to any pasture. Bargain $400. We live in east TX and I can email pictures of Theodore and his parents. I expect him to mature around 33".
