The Flitcroft goal you talk of probably was against Ian Atkins' Northampton in 1996/97 - in a bizarre goal celebration he was lucky not to break his back!
Personally, Lancashire's winner against Preston meant so much to me, although in terms of quality it was anything but our best ever goal. Against the same opponents two years later, Nicky Richardson's thunderbolt was pretty spectacular. Cyrille Regis also managed a few tremendous headers in the 1995/96 campaign.
At Sealand Road, I remember Alan Reeves firing in an unstoppable drive against Huddersfield, which in my opinion was one of the best we've scored in the last two decades, as was Abel's versus Wolves. As recently as last season though, we had Steve "I never score tap-ins" Whitehall making everyone rave about what they'd seen as he produced tremendous finishes to see off Hereford and Kettering to name but two.
