Author: Sir Tristan
Subject: A Message for The Lord of the Tower

*I pull my horse to a stop and I raise the visor on my helm. Shielding my eyes against the setting sun, I can make out the Tower in the distance, a dark shimmering grey against the bright orange horizon. I gently ease the horse to a gallop.

I arrive at the tower just as night descends upon the world. The guard halts my advance and asks my business. *

I have come to give the Lord of the Keep an urgent message from my master.

*The guard allows me to pass and I ride to the base of the tower and hand my horse to the stable boy. I walk up the stairs and I enter through the doors and I head to the Great Hall and ask to see the Lord of the Tower. I am asked by the squire at the door who is calling.*

The name is Sir Tristan of Neinsbrock. I bring an urgent message from my Lord. Wilst the Master of the Tower grant me the privilege of his company so that I may present this to him?

*The squire gives me a strange look and asks me to please wait a moment or two. He will return with an answer as son as possible. I nod in agreement and the squire enters the Great Hall, closing the doors behind him. I wait for what seems an eternity, when the squire returns and bids me to follow him. I walk behind him into the Great hall and as I approach the dais on which the thrones sit, I notice just the Lady of the Tower sitting in her chair, the Lords chair is empty. I walk to the end of the carpet and I kneel down and bow my head.*

Good evening, m’lady. I have come with a message from the Lord of Neinsbrock to the Lord of the Tower …
