Upon further questioning of the prisoner by Emon from the Amber Woods it was found that the assassin is working for someone (or a group) called the Scarlet Cross. After imparting this information the prisoner took poison located in a ring on his finger and killed himself. He called down the vengence of Morrigu, goddess of War, for his death. This means that a loyal subject of the goddess will be called forth by her to avenge his death...by killing LGW.

I am that subject. *bows my head in sorrow.* I have petitioned Morrigu on behalf of Tala and she has given me three days to bring her the head of the actual person behind the assassinations. If I do not do so she will take possession of me and force me to exact her revenge against Tala. Should this happen Lord Alex has been asked BY ME to take my life and deliver my head instead to the Morrigu.

I know this sounds insane, but it is the way of magic and the gods. I beseech you...help us find the Scarlet Cross. If you have information on his/their whereabouts please post it here on the board.
