Come O/one, Come A/all

....Celebration time in Dyramid Manor and Merry Widow Tavern. Come enjoy dancing, feasting and drinking.

Celebrate with us in a toast to Freedom.

A

Sparring tourney will be held starting at 2:00 P.M.

at Merry Widow Tavern, all entrants must submit their entry by June 7, with their name, skill level; and weapon of choice to calliope_demarquis@hotmail.com. This event is open to males and female.

Then on to Dyramid Manor for more civilized pleasures.

The

Five Course Banquet

will thrill your palate, our serving wenches will delight your eye. This was previously known as Hawkwood Village, but now honours its founder by opening a new Manor in medieval times, a place of safety and comfort.

Throughout the feast our medieval musicians play authentic medieval musical instruments such as the shawm, crumhorn, sackbutt, cornett, hurdy-gurdy and lute. There are also performances by our juggler/court jester.

After the banquet the dancing begins. A bar is available throughout the evening which finishes at whenever.

The order of events is as follows:

1. Guests arrive at 7.30 pm (central) on June 8th, 2002 (which is a Saturday)

2. Dress in full medieval wear

3. Served a glass of mede and entertained by musicians and juggler

4. The five course banquet commences accompanied by wine

Breughel buffet

While the guests enjoy a splendid Breughelian buffet, numerous artists conjure up a pleasant medieval mood: troubadours, fools, falconers, archers, fire-eaters, etc.

A stunning spectacle with typical Belgian cuisine.

An unforgettable and relaxing evening.
